Corrections and updates
We correct material factual errors and explain significant changes here. Email webmaster@the-lantern-ledger.co.uk with the page URL, the wording concerned and a source. We assess the evidence before changing a factual statement.
17 October 2026 — Premiere information: updated the website from the earlier Christmas release window and unannounced-date wording to Friday 25 December 2026. The sources page links the official WBD programme announcement and HarryPotter.com’s HBO/HBO Max territory statement. The start time and subsequent release cadence remain unspecified.
17 October 2026 — Publisher identity: removed inherited publisher wording, corrected the publisher panel to The Lantern Ledger and standardised the business-details line.
17 October 2026 — Visitor information: distinguished reported filming from official visitor access. The London Zoo guide explains that the historic Reptile House is closed; the Hoddesdon guide distinguishes Rye House Gatehouse grounds from the closed interior. Transport information links to current operator planners instead of unsupported whole-journey estimates.
17 October 2026 — Site organisation: consolidated overlapping hubs into the series guide, fan guide and sources page. Old URLs redirect directly to the relevant destination. Book quiz questions now appear in HTML, with JavaScript used for scoring.
Earlier material updates and the underlying source list remain on Sources and corrections history. For viewing information read How to watch; for the publication’s approach read About.
How to read a correction
A correction changes a factual statement that was wrong or misleading. An update adds information that became available later. Where a source has been withdrawn, the historical context can be retained with a clear explanation while the unsupported current claim is removed.
When reporting an error, tell us whether it affects the practical advice, the wording of a source label or a factual detail. That helps us identify other pages that may need the same correction.
Submitting evidence we can assess
Start with the statement you believe needs changing. Quote a short passage or identify the heading, then explain the discrepancy in plain language. A current official announcement is especially useful for a release, cast or production fact. The attraction operator is the appropriate source for access rules, booking requirements and visitor facilities. A named report can support an attributed filming claim, but it should not be presented as an official announcement unless the organisation has confirmed it.
Tell us if the source itself has changed. A revised page, a withdrawn announcement and a broken address create different editorial problems. If a link has moved, provide the replacement you found and explain how you identified it. We may need to check whether other pages repeat the same statement, rather than changing only the page mentioned in the message.
Please do not send private information about a young performer, a working production entrance or a person’s movements as evidence for a fan guide. We can correct public facts without publishing private details. For an image-rights issue or an accessibility problem, use the contact page’s guidance so that the relevant material can be located without unnecessary personal information.
Recording changes clearly
A material correction should make the current position understandable and leave an appropriate explanation of what changed. Routine spelling, presentation or link-maintenance work may not need a separate editorial entry, but an altered factual claim should not be disguised as an old unchanged statement. A checked date and a publication date serve different purposes and should not be substituted for each other.
25 October 2026 — Structured data and titles: shortened overlong titles, distinguished directory and policy page types, and retained organisational authorship. Episode pages awaiting broadcast continue to redirect to the episode guide rather than presenting invented recaps.
25 October 2026 — Practical guides: consolidated repeated Studio Tour and gift-guide topics, recorded official Royal Mail Christmas recommendations, and identified retailer-verification limits. The source reports record which checks passed and which acceptance tests remain incomplete.
If you disagree with a conclusion, provide the source and the specific factual reason for reconsidering it. A difference of taste about a narrator, an adaptation choice or an itinerary is not automatically an error. We aim to keep opinion labelled and factual correction decisions tied to evidence.
