About The Lantern Ledger

An independent Harry Potter television, reading and visitor guide, operated by Does Your Duck Quack.

Who the site is for

The Lantern Ledger is an independent guide to HBO’s Harry Potter television series, the books behind it and places fans can responsibly visit. Start with the confirmed premiere and UK viewing information, explore the announced cast, or choose a reading and travel guide that suits your interests.

Research and corrections

We research each page from the sources linked on it, using AI tools to help draft and organise, and check facts against those sources before publishing. Official announcements and venue information lead our factual additions. Named reporting is labelled Reported; book and film comparisons are editorial interpretation.

For a correction, email webmaster@the-lantern-ledger.co.uk with the page URL, the sentence concerned and a better source. Material corrections appear on the corrections page. Please omit personal details about children, residents and production staff. We do not need someone’s private address or whereabouts to assess a published claim.

Funding and independence

Some accommodation links earn a commission through the CJ network. Print and audiobook buttons let readers compare the relevant formats at Waterstones and Audible. The disclosure page explains these links. Commercial relationships do not decide our casting information, evidence labels or correction decisions.

The Lantern Ledger is unofficial and is not affiliated with or endorsed by HBO, Warner Bros. Discovery, J.K. Rowling, Bloomsbury, the performers or the attractions covered. Names and marks belong to their rights holders. Official source links help readers consult those organisations directly.

Images and privacy

Original generated images are labelled Illustration. They are imaginative artwork, not photographs of performers, real filming activity or official designs. Licensed performer photographs carry creator, source, licence and modification details. We do not reuse publicity stills or book covers as decoration.

Our privacy notice explains browser storage, external links and contacting the publisher. For practical access information, read the accessibility statement. Use the contact page for a factual correction, image-rights concern or a problem using the website.

How evidence becomes a guide

A useful guide distinguishes the source from our interpretation. For casting and production facts, an announcement from HBO, Warner Bros. Discovery or HarryPotter.com takes priority over an unattributed social post. For a visit, the operator’s own access and booking information takes priority over an old travel article. We link the source close to the claim so that you can check the wording and the circumstances for yourself.

A Confirmed label means that the relevant organisation has announced the fact. Reported means that a named publication has made the claim; it does not turn a photograph, a rumour or an inference into official confirmation. Not yet announced identifies a gap that remains open. A checked date records the review attached to a fact block, rather than promising that the information cannot change after publication.

Practical recommendations are editorial judgements. When we suggest a slower itinerary, a particular reading format or extra time for a connection, that is planning advice rather than a claim of personal inspection. We do not invent a visit, a professional credential or a review score to make that advice sound more authoritative. Readers should be able to tell whether they are looking at a sourced fact, an opinion or an unanswered question.

Independence and boundaries

Does Your Duck Quack? publishes the site from 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4AN. The business contact details in the footer identify the publisher; editorial authorship belongs to the organisation. There is no personal writer biography or claim of access to the production.

We do not seek leaks, publish private production access points or track performers’ movements. Young cast members are discussed through announced roles and relevant public production information. Their home addresses, school details, family arrangements and private contact information are outside the guide’s purpose.

You can read our sources and corrections method, contact the publisher about a specific problem and review our privacy notice before using external services. A well-supported correction is welcome whether it concerns a prominent announcement or a small practical detail.
